About Us

Our story starts with a shared obsession for the little things. We are Amonda and Blaine, a wife and husband team operating right out of Pennsylvania. Over the years, our travels to Japan have shaped so much of what we love and how we see the world. Whether we are hunting down the perfect bowl of soba, collecting goshuin stamps at remote shrines, taking in the intense energy of a professional sumo tournament, or simply enjoying the comforting station departure melodies while riding the train, Japan always feels like a beautiful adventure.

But there is one specific magic we always try to bring back with us in our suitcases. The gachapon machines. There is an undeniable joy in dropping a coin into a bright machine, turning the heavy plastic dial, and waiting for that satisfying clatter as a colorful capsule drops. Our own personal collection grew completely out of hand very quickly.

We realized that not only were others interested but that we could bring the same joy to others here in the United States. So we set out to make getting the same joy we experienced in Japan a more feasable reality to those here at home. We try to capture the range of variety that a local place like #C-pla or a Gachapon Department Store would have in Japan here in the States so you too can experience a high quality of toy minus the plane ticket.

Our shareholders, Christopher Cat and Captain Gravy Boat [Army "Captain", not Navy "Captain"], are exceptionally excited to be a part of this venture as it helps bring them masterfully made cat wet and cat dry food from Japan that has had no match in terms of other domestic or foreign foods.
